Humagne Blanche Constellation 2022 75 cl

Mentioned in 1313 in a notarial deed, the Registre d'Anniviers, Humagne Blanche is one of the oldest grape varieties in the Valais. Popular tradition attributes its origins to the Romans, and its particularly high iron content has earned it the nickname of "the wine of childbirth". However, both of these claims have been disproved by modern research. A variety found only in the Valais, Humagne Blanche, which bears no relation to its namesake Humagne Rouge, almost disappeared during the 20th century because of its low productivity and susceptibility to vine pests.

Ideal as an aperitif, Humagne Blanche goes well with fish, white meats and mountain cheeses.
