Château Chasse Spleen Moulis en Médoc 2017

Chasse Spleen 2017 has a beautiful, intense dark garnet colour, a brilliant, limpid wine. On the nose, spicy notes reminiscent of curry with, at this stage, hints of brioche and toast. The attack is fresh and expressive. The structure is tight, with tannins that are both powerful and soft, provided by the fine Cabernets (Sauvignon and Franc) of this vintage. The wine has great length and flavour, with good ageing potential.

Between Margaux and Saint-Julien, Moulis-en-Médoc is the smallest appellation in the Médoc. The Château Chasse-Spleen is planted on 80 hectares of Garonne gravel and clay-limestone soil. The soil forces the vines to draw water from deep underground in order to keep hydrated. This gives the grapes a richer aromatic density.

The vineyard is certified "High Environmental "and certifies good environmental and health practices within the farm.

42% Merlot, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot
