Johannisberg Château Constellation 2022 75 cl

Gold Medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles

Originally from the Rhine Valley, Sylvaner is called Johannisberg in Valais. The second most widely cultivated white grape variety in the canton, it gets its local nickname from Schloss Johannisberg, a Germanic wine castle believed to have produced the first sweet wines. This selection comes from vines that are an average of 45 years old, grown on the rocky terraces of the Chamoson hillside beneath the Haut de Cry massif.

Johannisberg 2022 is characterised by mineral and toasted almond aromas, with a hint of fresh hazelnuts, a touch of pineapple and good acidity on the finish. The slight bitterness is characteristic of the Chamoson terroir.

Ideal as an aperitif, Johannisberg goes perfectly with asparagus, fish and soft cheeses.
