Dézaley Chemin de Fer is a wine of character that needs at least a year of cellaring to reveal its fullness and aromatic complexity, with hints of flint, gunflint and honey. Opulent and flattering, it fills the mouth with generosity before finishing on a very long note.

After several years, Dézaley Chemin de Fer becomes even more complex and will magnify truffled poultry, noble fish or shellfish. It will stand up to powerful sauces and give nobility to caramelised sweetbreads. And, at the end of the meal, it will make a magical pairing with an old Gruyère cheese or a characterful Vacherin Mont-d'Or.

The 2020 special edition comes in a black bottle. The original label, which has remained unchanged for 120 years, has been revisited using screen printing and hot foil stamping. The label discreetly features the Cave Royale CR in the centre of a vine leaf. Each bottle is sealed with a pewter capsule.
