A fine line, one that warms your cold bones. He's got some lovely mature impressions of old Macallan that were used to create this 1861 replica.
Nose: Fresh, malty, fruity (white fruit), a whiff of smoke, lovely notes of sherry, dried fruit, chocolate and woody spices (reduced: ripe citrus, slightly spicy, sweet apple notes, richly aromatic, overwhelming).
Palate: smoky, peaty, sweet, oily and fruity (reduced: cereal and rich taste sensation).
Finish: Medium-bodied with dried fruit, long, warming and soothing.
