Champagne Jacques Selosse Brut Cuvée Initiale 75 cl

The Domaine was founded in Avize in 1949 by Jacques Selosse. Taken over in 1974 by his son Anselme, then aged 20, it produces artisanal products that respect the vines of the champagne of the highest quality. Each year, 57,000 bottles leave the estate. The quantities produced are therefore small, making these cuvées rare and highly sought-after. Covering an area of 7.5 hectares, the estate comprises 47 plots, mainly in the Côte des Blancs. Since Anselme took over, a number of changes have taken place, particularly in terms of yields and viticulture methods. An ecologist at heart, he has decided to favour low yields. He adopted the organic viticulture but without seeking the slightest certification. This enables it to stand out from the other Houses and offer exceptional vintages.

The Brut Initiale cuvée is a blend of 3 vintages from the Grands Crus terroirs of Avize, Cramant and Oger.
