La Mondotte's colour is very deep, and the palate has great, noble opulence.The whole is remarkably well-balanced. The wine quickly became "mythical" and left its mark on the history of its prestigious appellation. It will improve over many years and should generally be kept for at least 20 to 30 years.. Annual production is limited to around 11,000 bottles. Small volumes and a reputation mean that prices match or exceed those of the premier crus.
