Château Les Carmes Haut Brion Pessac 2017

 

Les Carmes de Haut Brion 2017, made from 41 % Cabernet Franc, 30 % Merlot and 29 % Cabernet Sauvignon, Les Carmes Haut-Brion 2017 was fermented at 40 % whole cluster and aged for around 20 months in French oak barrels, 65 % of which were new. Medium to deep garnet-purple in colour, it bursts from the glass with fragrant notes of Black Forest cake, kirsch and black raspberries, as well as hints of cedar, red roses, black tea and dried mint. Medium-bodied, the palate struts its stuff with great elegance and balance, with sober, mineral red and black fruits with a firm, grainy texture and bold freshness, for a long, fragrant finish.
