Palmer Historical XiXth Century Wine 2016 is a rare wine combining the excellence of a prestigious Margaux and Rhône wines. This wine will delight lovers and collectors of great wines from all over the world. History buffs, fine wine enthusiasts and collectors all know that the great Bordeaux wines of the Left Bank have very often been "hermitaged", as far back as the 18th century. This practice involved blending some of the great Syrahs from the Northern Rhône with the great Cabernets and Merlots from the Left Bank.

Tasting a 19th-century hermitage wine on a trip to visit a major Californian collector, Thomas Durouxthe director of Château Palmer, wanted to bring this tradition up to date.

In a magnificent bottle specially designed for the occasion, Château Palmer presents Historical XIXth Century Wine 2016. This exceptional wine brings together the best of Bordeaux and Rhône Valley expertise in a blend of Merlot (45%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (45%) with 10% of wines from the northern Côtes du Rhône.
