Monkey 47 Dry Gin is a tribute to the enigmatic Montgomery Collins, a British officer who settled in the Black Forest after the Second World War and set about creating his own gin by combining local know-how with his love of British gin.

Monkey 47 Dry gin is distilled from 47 different botanicals, many of which come directly from the Black Forest. These include cranberries, juniper, chamomile, elderberry and many more. In addition to these local plants, the recipe includes more exotic ingredients, such as citrus fruits and peppercorns, added after traditional distillation in copper stills. Natural spring water is then added to dilute the gin to its final concentration of 47% alcohol.
