Point Final V " Pinot Noir " Jean Michel Novelle

The Point Final collection is the culmination of a long wait. Varietal wines vinified almost a decade ago, a selection of the best barrels and a 6-year stay in oak: all the conditions required for the Late Bottle Vintage, LBV, appellation.
A blend of Pinot Noir from the 2008 and 2009 vintages, matured in casks for six years, then blended in vats where the wine continued to mature until bottling at the end of summer 2020!
A brilliant dark garnet colour. Intense fruitiness, with notes of sweet spices and Christmas, morello cherry and cocoa. Rich and mellow on the palate, but above all very fresh. The tannins are still tight but exceptionally fine. This is a very persistent wine, offering masterly balance. My rating: 96 Coup de Coeur
