The Appleton Estate distillery is based in Jamaica, in the fertile Nassau Valley, which enjoys an ideal microclimate. The distillery owns 4,400 hectares of land and harvests 216,000 tonnes of sugar cane every year. The Black River also offers very soft water, perfect for distilling Appleton Rum.
This 21-year-old version is a testament to the Appleton Estate's reputation for excellence. Aged exclusively in oak casks for 21 years, Joy Spence's creation is a marvel of delicacy and harmony. Notes of orange, nutmeg, vanilla, almond, coffee and cocoa compose a delicious ode to its origins: the tropics. This rare rum, produced in just 12,000 bottles a year, is not to be missed.
The structure of this rum means you can enjoy it neat or with an ice cube.
