CHATEAU GISCOURS 2018 MARGAUX 75 CL
This very fine vintage is a continuation of the previous ones. Rich and fleshy, it offers excellent ageing potential. It is certainly one of the finest vintages of recent years. In this 2018 vintage, the particularly high percentage of Merlot in the final blend gives the wine a softness and density that envelops the structure and tannins naturally present in our deep gravel soils. The Cabernets reached perfect ripeness thanks to a very favourable off-season and, as always, were on hand to bring out their structure, freshness and long-ageing potential through gentle vinification.
Château Giscours has constantly reinvented itself over the centuries. Pierre de Lhomme, Marc Promis, Jean-Pierre Pescatore, Edouard Cruse, Nicolas Tari and today the Albada Jelgersma family - all ambitious, visionary owners who have taken it upon themselves to bring the estate together and build a reputation of excellence for this great vineyard, named the third Grand Cru Classé in 1855.
