Located in the Margaux appellation in the Médoc, Château Monbrison has been classified as the 5th Grand Cru Classé of Margaux since 1855. The grapes are hand-picked and double-sorted, and the traditional vinification process continues with 14 to 20 months' barrel ageing. The blend of grape varieties - Cabernet Sauvignon - Merlot - Petit Verdot - makes this a wine bursting with ripe red and black fruit. On the palate, it has a fairly full-bodied attack, followed by a well-structured finish. The finish is elegant and long.
