Le Difese Tenuta San Guido Bolgheri 2022 75 cl

This is the third wine produced by the Tenuta San Guidoproducer of the famous Sassicaia.

A high-quality, easy-drinking, pleasing wine. Deep ruby, limpid and brilliant.
The story of Tenuta San Guido and Sassicaia began in 1940, when Mario Incisa Della Rochetta set out to create his own pedigree wine, following the traditions of Bordeaux. It was Cabernet Sauvignon that he decided to plant on his equestrian estate near the village of Bolgheri, in the region known as Maremma.

Since 1968, the estate and its wine have enjoyed a long rise to fame, even though until 1994 Sassicaia was considered a table wine, a departure from the strict rules governing the production of wines from the region, which are supposed to be made predominantly from Sangiovese grapes. Since then, the wine from the famous Tenuta San Guido has continued to win unanimous praise from Italian and international critics alike, under the DOC Bolgheri appellation (DOC Bolgheri Sassicaia to be exact). Under the guidance of Giacomo Tachis, one of Italy's most famous oenologists, Mario's son Niccolò Incisa della Rochetta is now taking his turn to develop the legend that has been writing the history of Italy's great wines for almost a century.
