One of Bordeaux's finest signatures, Château Cheval-Blanc remains among the elite of Saint-Emilion wines with each new classification. Its strength undoubtedly lies in its exceptional terroir, where Merlot and Cabernet Franc express themselves to perfection. Their proportions vary according to the vintage, although Merlot is generally present in greater quantities. Merlot brings a sensation of maturity and deliciousness, while Cabernet Franc gives structure to the wine. It has a deep, intense ruby colour. The nose is an explosion of floral notes, as well as violet and blackcurrant. On the palate, this fruitiness is matched by powerful tannins. Cheval Blanc is one of the most concentrated Saint-Emilions, requiring between 15 and 25 years of cellaring to reach its full potential.
