This 12-year-old House Trois Rivières illustrates the expertise of this brand, and the authenticity of its original terroir.
Trois Rivières 12-Year-Old rum comes from Martinique, where it is scrupulously produced to benefit from the Martinique Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée. Martinique rums are the only rums in the world to have been awarded this renowned designation, a true guarantee of quality.
The fruit of a blend of different AOC Martinique grands crus, this Trois Rivières 12-year-old rum has been aged in Bourbon casks in the cellars of this famous distillery. This premium rum was developed under the watchful eye of Daniel Baudin, the distillery's Maitre de Chais.
A true model of smoothness and perfectly mastered balance, this rum has a particularly seductive character.
This rum has a beautiful amber colour with golden highlights. It is a very full-bodied, well-structured rum.
The nose of this 12-year-old Trois Rivières is powerful. Highly intense and particularly fragrant, it reveals elegant scents of spices and precious woods. The nose then evolves towards fruitier notes (macerated fruit such as plum and candied orange) enveloped by a few hints of honey. After a long aeration, surprising spicy and peppery notes mingle with those of dried flowers.
On the palate, this aged rum is smooth, invigorating and mineral. Its spicy flavours explode on the palate before mingling with notes of dark tobacco, precious woods and dried flowers, all enhanced by fine notes of pepper. This rum is dense.
The finish of this 12-year-old rum is long-lasting and aromatic. Powerful and fresh.
The Trois Rivières distillery also produces a Vintage rum 1999 !
